The battery shell sandblasting combustion test system (Torch and Grit), designed and developed with reference to UL2596-2023, simulates the high temperature and mechanical shock stress of the battery thermal runaway event, and is applied to the test method of the shell material screening of electric vehicles. Battery housings and their manufacturing materials play a key role in electric vehicle safety, and this test method, combined with small-scale testing, helps predict material properties for thermal runaway events.

3. System composition
The battery shell sandblasting burner is composed of a box, a blowtorch, a gas supply module, a sandblasting module, a measurement and control module.
4. Cabinet:
(1) The combustion box adopts sheet metal spray painting process, simple and beautiful;
(2) Combustion box size: 1200x600x1800mm;
(3) The sample and blowtorch bracket are made of aluminum alloy profiles with stainless steel materials, beautiful and durable;
(4) The front is equipped with tempered glass observation window for easy observation of the test;
(5) The exhaust fan is installed at the top of the box;
5. Blowtorch
(1) Imported blowtorch, integrating fire and sand blasting functions;
(2) The flame temperature can reach 1200ºC;
(3) The position of the blowtorch bracket can be adjusted;

6. Gas supply module
(1) Mass flow controller accurately controls gas and oxygen flow;
(2) Configure a fire stop valve to prevent tempering;
(3) Pressure regulator, pressure gauge, explosion-proof solenoid valve and other gas accessories;

(5) Flame temperature: 1200ºC@ blowtorch 60mm position;
7. Sandblasting module
(1) Powder tank SUS304 (200mm*150mm cylindrical);
(2) The mass flow controller controls the sandblasting air flow;
(3) sand blast flow rate 1.50g /s ± 0.15g /s;
8. Measurement and control module
