Product Description
This instrument is used to measure the stability performance of cables under long-term DC high voltage + constant temperature environment.
A cable specimen with a length greater than 5m is immersed in distilled water containing 3% NaCl, extending an additional length of at least 300mm at each end. The salt solution should be maintained at a temperature of 85±2°C for 240±2h. Apply the specified voltage between the conductor and the brine so that the conductor is negatively charged. The test is then repeated with a new specimen, but with the conductor at a positive potential.
During the test, the current in the circuit is measured continuously and the data of the current magnitude is constructed into a current-time curve (Note: Stable phase, meaning that the average increment of the leakage current is less than 10% during the 24h cycle).
